Cruising to Salvador Da Bahia
Nothing too exciting in these sea days. I haven’t mentioned, since we have not been thrilled with the menu selection in the two regular restaurants, we have been going to the two specialty restaurants. Latitudes and Signatures. They are both reservations only and usually way in advance and they only allow one per week maximum. But that’s for others and not us. They always seem to find a spot for us even at the last minute.
Last night we went to Latitudes. It was the last night it was going to be Indian. We had not been crazy with the Indian on the Voyager last year, so we were a little reluctant. The regular menu was awful so we took a shot. Fantastic. It was some of the best Indian food we ever had. We even ordered seconds of some of it.
Tonight was Signatures, the fancy French restaurant. I didn’t know it but they had changed the menu here too. Some of my favorites were missing but somehow we managed. We ordered three dinners for the two of us so we could taste more things. My main course was Langoustines. They were on a bed of lentils that taste like chili. They were big and delicious.
Tomorrow the new menu starts at Latitudes. Indochine again. That means eggrolls and stuff like that. So we will do that tomorrow.
We have a new captain aboard. All the other officers have had dinner with us as well as the old captain. This one begged to be allowed to have dinner with us also so we are allowing him to join us Wednesday. I thought that was very big of me.
Okay, I guess it sounds like all we do is eat. Yeah, I guess that is pretty much what we do.
We even took some pictures today. Have you ever seen a sunset? Well now you can. How a penthouse suite on the Regent Mariner? I got one of part of one of those too. The big ugly blue Lazy Boy chair, that does not mach, is not standard equipment. They just found me one to shut me up. Sometimes it pays to be a pain in the - - -.
